A little more about me…

Hi everyone! Welcome to my new blog! My name is Rebecca Rowe, owner and designer of Cute, Crafted and Crocheted.

I learned to crochet when I was 15 but shortly after lost interest. I was a busy teenager.   I had a bad seizure and was diagnosed with Epilepsy the beginning of 6th grade from a head injury. From then on I’ve dealt with more problems. I have bad migraines, a severe Anxiety disorder, depression, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Ptsd and a  bad lower back that I have to have surgery on March 7th.

I became disabled about 8 years ago and I was home alone 10+ hours a day and fell into a deep depression. I was in a very bad place. I knew I had to do something to keep busy and take my mind off everything.

I still remembered the basics of crocheting so I bought some yarn and hooks and began to crochet again. I only did blankets in the beginning because I never learned much more. The past few years I taught myself new stitches, following patterns and my most favorite,  Amigurumi!

Crochet is my therapy and has saved my life in so many ways!  Now I am here and I want to share my love of crochet with all of you!  It will not be all crochet here on my blog but it will be the main focus. I will share ideas every now and then of what helps me with my Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, and depression

Maybe it will help someone. I will also share others free patterns that I love here as well, with permission of course. Wish me luck on this new journey! Until next time, pay attention to the little things in life and Always Be Happy!

Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you all know I will be off here for a while. I have to have back surgery Thursday morning and doubt I will feel up to writing or sharing things for a while. I’m going to focus on my recovery and do exactly what my Dr. says and I’m hoping I will feel much better and not be in as much pain once I heal. I will still pop on to read your blogs once I feel up it. Please keep me in your prayers. I have an anxiety disorder and my anxiety level is bad right now and I’m very nervous. Thanks so much! Until next time, always remember the little things in life and do your best to be happy! 😊

Hi friends,

I’ve recently heard so much about Tailwind and how great it is so I had to give it a try and I love it! So I wanted to share a little gift with you so you can give it a try as well.

After joining, find some Tailwind tribes related to your niche and pin/repin etc. to grow your blog followers. Just follow the instructions after you sign up. I’m sure you will love it as much as I do.

Here’s your gift 🙂 Enjoy!

I love to crochet and I’ve made a wide array of different patterns over the years, but I have to say my absolute favorite is creating amigurumi.

This one I will never forget though. I was online browsing through Facebook one day when I came across a post of a single mother.

Her daughters birthday was coming up in a few days and she had no money because she just started a new job. She didnt ask for money or tons of gifts for her daughter. She simply asked if someone could make her a special gift, so she would have something for her birthday that she could hold on to and never forget.

I knew I had to make her something but what? As I searched through patterns I had saved I came across this adorable sock monkey.

Here is the link to the pattern:

I told her mother I wished to make her something and asked could she meet me on her birthday in a few days to pick it up. I also asked her to bring her daughter.

I didnt tell her what I was making for her daughter. I wanted it to be a surprise. A few days later I met her at a local restaurant. Her mother explained to her who I was and that I had made her something special for her birthday.

I gave her a birthday card and then the bag with “Cupcakes” the sock monkey in it. She was overjoyed and starting screaming “It’s a sock monkey Mommm!”

I had no idea she loved them. It was perfect! The smile on her face said it all and I was overjoyed! Out of all of the things I had made as gifts, this one was special to her and I and always would be.

I didn’t share this story to brag or yank my own chain as they say, but to share with you to always remember to pay it forward. You will never know the difference you might make in someone’s day and life. A memory they will never forget.

Until next time, Always remember the little things in life and be happy!❤
